Welcoming Grecia Tarakajian to Tzedek Chicago Staff

Tzedek Chicago is pleased to share that we have hired Grecia Tarakajian as our new Program Administrator. Grecia’s role will primarily focus on supporting programming at Tzedek Chicago, including Shabbat and holidays, adult and family education, and member-led projects.

Grecia (she/her) is an administrator, designer, and artist based in Chicago. With over ten years of experience in project management, event planning, and facilitation, she has successfully supported creative individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations of all sizes. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies from Arizona State University and eventually moved to Chicago to earn her Master of Arts in Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago. It was during her graduate career that she learned about the ongoing injustices committed against the Palestinian people and found solidarity and a safe place for her faith within the anti-Zionist Jewish community. She’s excited to continue her values-led work and take the time to build meaningful relationships with Tzedek Chicago members and community. In her spare time you can find her sign painting, working on interior design projects, or crying into her popcorn bag at the Music Box.
