Tzedek Chicago Family Program

Join Tzedek Chicago for the pilot year of our newly updated Family Program! From October through May, we will meet biweekly in Rogers Park at Bet Yichud. This is the same program you know and love, now with more formalized location and dates. Tzedek Chicago is proud of our intergenerational program, and this program will continue to be in the format of adult/child learning, where grown ups stay on site to support their child and their own learning for the entirety of the program.

All sessions will be from 10 am-noon, on the following dates: 10/8,  10/22,  11/5,  11/19,  12/3,  12/17,  1/14,  1/28,  2/11,  2/25,  3/10,  4/7,  5/5,  5/19. Though our program will have a regular meeting location indoors in this accessible space, we will also take advantage of nearby parks and community spaces for outdoor gatherings.

Each week, Tzedek families will explore Torah, Jewish perspectives on justice and liberation, upcoming holidays, and much more. Adults are encouraged to participate in our learning, including leading and sharing your skills and knowledge throughout the year.

This program is oriented to children ages 3-12. Families with older children are welcome to reach out and discuss possible leadership and supplemental learning opportunities for their middle school and high-school aged children. We welcome families with questions about access and inclusion to reach out for more information.

All families who join our regular family program are expected to become members of Tzedek Chicago (you can do so here, right now!). Tzedek Chicago values respectful compensation for our staff and community partners who make this program possible. In addition to membership, we ask that each family contribute pay-what-you can tuition. We encourage you to select a per session cost that is accessible for your family, and consider making a contribution towards supporting access to this program for others.

Please email Aviva at tzedekfamilyprograms@gmail.com should you have any questions. We look forward to learning and celebrating with you soon!
