Hanukkah Liturgy Workshop with Adam Gottlieb

Join Tzedek Chicago for the first in a series of Tzedek Chicago liturgy-writing workshops oriented towards the creation of new interpretations, writings, and traditions for contemporary Jewish practice based in justice and liberation.

Led by Adam Gottlieb, one of Tzedek Chicago's poets-in-residence, our first workshop will bring us close to the Jewish Festival of Hanukkah. As with all Jewish holidays, this festival contains incredibly rich (and sometimes contradictory) symbolism for us to explore. We will delve into the many layers of meaning behind Hanukkah prayers and allow new ideas, insights, and poems to emerge from the conversation and reflection.

We hope you can join us!
